I was an art director/designer for Cengage Learning’s Creative Studio for 10+ years, managing design for college-level textbooks in a variety of subject areas (including, but not limited to: psychology, sociology, public speaking, mass communication, literature, composition, philosophy, religion, and computing).

In that role I got to do a lot of creative and creative-adjacent things: art direction, design, layout/composition, project management, setting up photo shoots, managing design freelancers, image research, and illustration.
