Zine Life/Dream Life

I found out about zines from an article in Seventeen magazine in 1995, a discovery that would shape my teen years and everything that has followed. I began documenting my life in comics and cut and paste, a practice that I continue today.

Ancient history: my zine was a part of the alt.youth.media exhibit at The New Museum for Contemporary Art in 199…6? More recent history: Barnard College Zine Library did a retrospective of my zine work in 2012. I have attended dozens of zine fests and fairs, and have used about a bazillion staples. My zines are included in the collections of Barnard College, Simmons University, Duke University, Papercut Zine Library (Boston, MA), the Independent Publishing Resource Center (Portland, OR), and many more.

My zines and comics depict dreams and daydreams, and document travel, mystery, and the magic of everyday events.
